Virtual tattoos have long ceased to be just a decorative option – today they are a full-fledged layer of game culture, where the player literally tries on the aesthetics of street art. In GTA 5, Rockstar Games has turned skin customization into one of the most “adult” character elements: unlike hairstyles or clothing, tattoos here feel like something permanent, almost fateful. That is why the question “how to get a tattoo in GTA 5” regularly comes up for players who want to express their hero’s character through body art. Apo Whang-Od and Intimate Tattoos: An Ethical Debate

Пожилая женщина Apo Whang-Od из племени калинга улыбается, стоя у входа в дом; на ней синий кардиган, белая футболка и бусы из кораллов и бисера, на предплечье видны традиционные чёрные узоры батока

In the mountain village of Buscalan, where time seems to flow slower than in any other corner of the Philippines, 109-year-old Apo Whang-Od has once again found herself in the media spotlight. This time, the reason is not another session of applying a ‘batok’, but a story about a foreign tourist who asked the elderly woman to tattoo a traditional pattern on an intimate part of their body. Tattoos of all British Birds: Charlie Sullivan’s Project

Чарли Салливан, тату-мастер, улыбается в камеру, стоя перед стеклянной стеной с изображениями британских птиц; на нём чёрная футболка с голубым принтом, бейсболка, носовой пирсинг, цепь и длинные серьги-подвески

Charlie Sullivan is 31 years old and has been a tattoo artist at the Golden Goose studio in Birmingham for ten years. While most of his colleagues have developed their recognizable style in one genre over the years, Charlie has focused on something more niche and, by his own admission, obsessive – birds. He started drawing as a child, and at the same time became interested in birdwatching, and at some point, these two hobbies merged into one large-scale personal project: to tattoo all the bird species that naturally inhabit Great Britain.

When an artist decides to etch not just a word but an entire story onto their skin, it’s almost always a deliberate gesture. This is precisely the case with J-Hope from BTS’s latest body art: the artist’s forearm now features the silhouettes of all seven group members, whose poses and gestures literally form the letters of the word “ARMY” – the name of their fan community. The work was published on September 10th on social media, accompanied by the caption “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’, LOS ANGELES,” and the black-and-white shot of the tattoo instantly captured the audience’s attention.
