The story of becoming a tattoo artist often begins with self-discovery, but for 34-year-old Jake Maluleka from Matjhabeng (North West Province), this path was predetermined by an incident in 2009. Back then, as an ordinary student, Jake, out of boredom, sketched a portrait of an examiner walking between the rows in class. At that moment, the young man had no idea that this spontaneous drawing would become the first step towards creating his own brand, Jake’s INKit Tattoos & Piercings, which today is a landmark for body art enthusiasts in his region. Jake managed to turn his natural gift into a successful business, proving that talent, noticed by others before the author himself, can change a life.
